Today, laptop users can for the first time add multiple, external peripheral devices via a single USB port! The Edgeport family of USB converters provide ideal docking solutions for USB equipped laptop users. With a 12 Mb/second data transfer rate, the Edgeport levels the connectivity field to include the laptop as a fully expandable PC solution without physical limitations. Since the Edgeport is an open standard (non-proprietary) connectivity device, any USB equipped laptop or workstation running Windows can dock into the same Edgeport module.

The Edgeport family of USB converters now give both laptop and workstation users the benefits of USB technology by providing a true, user installable, plug-and-play set-up (wizard software set-up in NT).
